About Us
Montana Bistro originally opened as an eclectic restaurant in downtown Bigfork, Montana in 2004. With its wildly unique cuisine, Montana Bistro quickly became known across the Flathead Valley as the place to go.
Sean and Christine changed directions in 2006 and redirected their efforts in order to spend more time with their two young children, Kylie and Ryan.
Montana Bistro became “mobile” and the kitchen was recreated into a unique transportable environment.
Sean has been involved in the food service industry since he was 11 years old. He worked his way up through every job in the restaurant business, from dishwashing to waiting tables, managing the front of the house, in the kitchen creating delicious food, and of course, chef/owner of Montana Bistro.
Born and raised in the world- renowned Monterey Peninsula area of California, he worked at the acclaimed Fresh Cream restaurant, The Lodge at Pebble Beach, Rio Grill, Dominico’s on the Wharf, and Piatti Ristorante. Moving to another beautiful place, Vail, Colorado, Sean worked at the award winning Sweet Basil restaurant and the Lodge at Beaver Creek.
He brings his creativity and passion for food to each event, along with an uncompromising attention to detail.
Sean met his wife, Christine, while working at Fresh Cream. He was a waiter and she, the coat check girl.
As a Certified Travel Consultant and Meeting/Event Planner, Christine brings to the partnership behind-the-scenes expertise and knowledge to manage the crucial details. In addition to co-owning and managing Montana Bistro, she has worked as a hostess and server at many fine dining restaurants and wields a mean knife as Sean's sous-chef.
